We left for LAX at 6am. When they say allow yourself 2 hours before your flight, they mean it. We left the mainland at 8:40am and arrived in Hawaii at 10:40am local time. We met up with Dave, the owner of the condo we were staying in. He was a cool guy, showing us around the place, which was fully stocked with things that we needed. Toilet paper, towels, dishware, cable, everything.

The first thing we did was go to the beach, which as about 3 blocks away. The water was ridiculously warm and the waves were the closest thing to perfection that I have ever seen. The waves broke perfectly down the line every time and were so easy to ride. Also, on the way to the beach, we went into our first ABC Store.

After the beach, we got ready to go to Dave & Buster’s for happy hour. After a good number of drinks, we call it a day. After all, including the time difference, most of us were up for 24 hours.
