Playlist
A lá celebrity playlists on the iTunes Music Store, here is my playlist at moment.
The Mixed Tape – Jack’s Mannequin: The perfect way to start any playlist. It totally captures the motivation for making a mix tape/CD. FYI, Jack’s Mannequin is Andrew McMahon’s (Something Corporate) new side project.
Smoke Signals – Watashi Wa: The best band you’ve never heard of. This song goes along with the next song.
Stare at the Sun – Thrice: When the world is down on you, these two songs will definitely pick you up.
Sell My Old Clothes, I’m Off to Heaven – Saves The Day: This is possibly my favorite punk rock song of all time, if not my favorite of any genre. It’s got guitar riffs you can’t help but bob your head to, its subject matter is something we ALL can relate to, and with a song title like that, you can’t help but want to listen to what the song is all about.
Road To Recovery – Rufio: Again, it’s all about the subject matter. The bridge sums up how we’ve all felt about relationships at one point or another; “Love’s a bitch, relationships end.”
October Nights – Yellowcard: After “Sell My Old Clothes..”, my second favorite song of all time. This song brings me back to one of my happier times in my life.
Move Along – The All American Rejects: Self explanatory.
Sexy Love – Ne-Yo: An R&B; song?! This song reminds me of Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature”. And that bass line is just too damn catchy.
